Selmer Silver-Plated Balanced Alto #25801
This is a non-factory silver-plated Selmer Balanced Action alto. It has a resonant, vibrant, sweeter sound, not too bright or dark, and a stable center, slightly more focused.
The silver plating is in good condition with normal wear throughout. Most of the plating wear is visible on the side of the body tube, especially near the right hand thumb hook. There are no major dents and no soldering. There are a few minor dings here and there and the bottom bow guard has been slightly pushed in. Pads have plastic resonators and are in excellent condition. This sax also has nickel-plated keys, a Super Action 80 neck, and non-factory engraving.
This sax must have an interesting history. It is silver-plated with nickel-plated keys. It also has a different neck and engraving. It more than likely had no engraving and was engraved before it was silver plated. This sax is priced accordingly and is a great buy for the money.
This is a great blowing non-factory silver-plated Balanced Action alto in very good condition. Sax comes in standard rectangular alto case.
