Keilwerth SX90R Brushed Nickel-Silver Tenor#124298
This is a solid nickel silver Keilwerth SX90R tenor. It has a deep, rich, resonant, vibrant sound, not too bright or dark, and a solid center, slightly more focused.
This is a brand new sax that has been discontinued. Keilwerth no longer makes this finish. This particular sax was the last one they had. The nickel silver is in perfect condition with no wear. There is lacquer over the nickel silver which protects the finish. There are no dents and no soldering. Pads have metal resonators and are new. Sax has original neck.
This model is an SX90R design with the major change of the material used in the neck, body, bow, and bell. Instead of brass, this model is made from solid nickel-silver. Nickel-silver is an alloy comprised of 60% copper, 20% nickel, and 20% zinc (regular brass is 70% copper and 30% zinc). The name "nickel-silver" is due to the metal's appearance being lighter in color than nickel but not quite as light as silver.
This is a fantastic blowing solid nickel-silver SX90R tenor. It is a brand new discontinued model. Rarely seen on the used market. A fantastic buy. Sax comes in original Keilwerth case.
