Conn Sarrusophone

This is an absolutely beautiful factory gold plated Conn Sarrusophone. It was made by Conn in the early 1930s for a specific person, and is one of the rarest and most collectible sarrusophones ever produced.

The gold plating on this sarrusophone is in excellent condition. The engraving is superb. There is a full length naked lady on the bell along with a much larger pattern of leaves and flowers which covers the whole front side of the bell. The name of the person for whom it was made is engraved below the other engraving. There are only two small dents and I see no evidence of any soldering. The bocal is original and is in excellent shape. This is probably one of the finest sarrusophones in existence. The owner of this instrument kept it in immaculate condition. The plating has hardly any wear at all.

This sarrusophone is pitched in Eb. It comes in the original case which is in excellent condition. It also comes with all the original paperwork which includes the down payment coupon, financial agreement, final payment letter from Conn and the payment coupons. It also has the original single reed mouthpiece with ligature and cap. It can be played with this mouthpiece or a double reed.

The pads are Conn reso pads and are in good condition. These are not original but the original pads were kept and also come with the instrument. This sarrusophone was just cleaned and adjusted here at PM Woodwind so it is in very good playing condition.

This is a truly stunning factory gold plated Conn sarrusophone in excellent condition. I do not believe a more beautiful one could be found. This is a unique instrument and a rare find.
